What I Do

In the therapeutic partnership, I prioritize open communication, respect, and adaptability to tailor my approach to your unique needs and circumstances. I recognize that there is no one-size-fits-all solution in therapy; rather, effective treatment is a dynamic process that evolves with each session. This adaptability allows us to explore different techniques and interventions that resonate with you. By drawing on a wealth of therapeutic modalities, we can address not only the immediate issues at hand but also the broader context of your life experiences and relationships.

Through this framework, I encourage you to delve into your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a safe and supportive environment at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we can uncover patterns that may be hindering your growth and work collaboratively to develop strategies that promote resilience and well-being.

I am committed to empowering you on your journey, recognizing the importance of trust and empathy in fostering change. Your insights, values, and goals guide our work, ensuring that each step taken aligns with your personal aspirations for healing and growth. Emphasizing self-discovery and personal responsibility, we will map out a path that reflects your individual journey toward authenticity and fulfillment.

I utilize a pragmatic, multi-modal, and humanistic approach to therapy, integrating concepts from (but not limited to) person-centered, attachment-based, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and family-systems perspectives. I firmly believe that every individual is the expert on their own life, which serves as the foundation for our collaborative journey.

  • On average, the first 1-3 sessions focus on completing the necessary intake paperwork, which establishes a solid foundation of information for our work together. Once we cover this essential information, we will explore your personal treatment goals.

Following these initial steps, we will proceed at a pace that feels comfortable for you. It is important to me that you share as much or as little as you wish as we begin to build our therapeutic relationship.

As your clinician, I will take care to note where we left off in our discussions. At the beginning of each session, I will conduct a brief check-in to determine whether you would like to continue from our previous session, follow a plan we have collaboratively developed, or address something new that has arisen for you. This approach ensures that our time together is always respectful of your needs and preferences.
