Sam Giles, MS, LPC-IT

My Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

Licensed by State of Wisconsin / 7954 - 226

My Background: I earned my Bachelors in Psychology at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater in 2020 and then my Masters of Educational Psychology: Clinical Mental Health Counseling in May 2024. Since then, I’ve worked as a private practitioner under the supervision of Susan Ringle, MS, LPC, LPCC, Registered Play Therapist - Supervisor.

I have experience working with a wide array of presenting problems and concerns; however, I am the most passionate about working with those who struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, trauma, LBGTQIA+, and neurodiverse issues.

Views and Values: I value authenticity and aiming towards living a fulfilling and healthy life that is the result of personal autonomy and expression.

With this passion comes the vulnerability of acknowledging that there will never be time where I can say “I no longer need to learn”. The adversities that people face day to day continuously evolve and I am not perfect. What I can promise is that as your therapist I will commit myself to cultivating a safe space where we become a team, and as your teammate, I will emphasize the importance of open and honest communication.

About Me: In my personal time I’m a huge nerd. When I have free time I’m usually playing video games, watching anime, attending conventions, playing tabletop games, or spending time with my 2 cats. I have lived mental health experience and have faced various hurdles due to a neurological sleep disorder called Idiopathic Hypersomnia.
